NEW EDITION! LET HIS BANNER OVER ME BE LOVE, FORMERLY, A SHARED DREAM BY AUTHOR PAT GARCIA IS Now Live ON AMAZON WORLD-WIDE @pat_garcia @rrbc_org @rrbc_rwisa

Book Cover by Nonnie Jules, 4WILLS PUBLISHING

When TURN THE LIGHT ON first came out, I had no idea it would cause a stir in the literary world. I had worked on that short story for several years, seven to be exact, and I sent it off to be edited.

After the edited manuscript returned to me, I went about self-publishing it. This brings me to my second short story, A SHARED DREAM. I didn’t heed to one of my own principles. I didn’t send it off to be edited. If I had, I would have saved myself the heartache and not have had to backtrack by having the book edited and collaborating over what kind of book cover I desired.

It took one review from a reader, who I am very thankful to, to open my eyes to the fact that the cover did not coincide with the content. I am grateful for her honesty, and after I compared the book cover with the content and stepped outside of the realm of my little world, I saw exactly what she meant. It was then my desire to bring A SHARED DREAM, which has now been renamed to LET HIS BANNER OVER ME BE LOVE, up on the same level as TURN THE LIGHT ON.

If I can’t read my own work without flinching, there is a problem. I want to give the people who read my books a quality read with moments of enjoyment, although they might not always agree with the topics I’ve woven into a story.

Therefore, I announce today that LET HIS BANNER OVER ME BE LOVE, which was previously, A SHARED DREAM, is now newly edited and has a new book cover on AMAZON. It is a book I highly recommend reading.

The story is offered world-wide on all Amazon Outlets. I have supplied the USA link below.

  2. J.Q. Rose – After writing feature articles in magazines, newspapers, and online magazines for over fifteen years, J.Q. Rose entered the world of fiction. Her mysteries published by BWL Publishing are Terror on Sunshine Boulevard, Dangerous Sanctuary, and Deadly Undertaking. She returned to her first love of writing non-fiction with eBooks on gardening and writing and an inspiring interactive eBook for MG girls, Girls Succeed: Stories Behind the Careers of Successful Women. After presenting workshops on Life Storytelling for 20 years, JQ used the lessons she shared with her participants to pen her memoir, Arranging a Dream: A Memoir. The inspiring story takes place in 1975-1976 when we moved to West Michigan to purchase a floral shop. We did not know anything about running a business, designing flowers or operating a commercial greenhouse business. Blogging, photography, Pegs and Jokers board games and travel are the things that keep her out of trouble. She and her husband spend winters in Florida and summers up north with their two daughters, two sons-in-law, four grandsons, one granddaughter, two grand dogs, four grand cats, and one great-grand bearded dragon.
    J.Q. Rose says:

Hi Pat! Congratulations on your short story on amazon! I am thrilled you like your new cover. What a major decision to do it over again. The link worked for me just fine. So cool you can have the story in many languages. Have fun with this special time in your writing career!

    1. Thank you, so much JQ. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe crossover into 2022.

Thank you and thanks for dropping by.
      Have a great day.

  4. Shirley Harris-Slaughter – I love old buildings and history. That's why I ended up writing about the history that surrounded me all of my life - "Our Lady of Victory, the Saga of an African-American Catholic Community." Plus our church had closed and the school is torn down, so I felt it was imperative that we preserve the history or it would be lost forever.
    Shirley Harris-Slaughter says:

    Hi Pat.

It’s interesting hearing stories of our members outlining their process to get books published. And don’t get me started on the editing part. That is the most important part and it seems so elusive to a lot of us.

Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful and safe holiday!

    1. Good Morning Shirley,
Thank you for dropping by. I don’t think the editing process is meant to be elusive. In my opinion, it is a process that has to be seen from outside in which means a new pair of fresh eyes that are not related to the process of putting the story together. We need editors and it is sad that so many writers think they can do it all. No one can do it all by themselves. So a hurray for those outstanding editors who are willing to accompany us on our writing journey.
I too wish you a wonderful and safe holiday season with lots of fun with your family.
      Shalom aleichem

Congratulations, Pat! Wishing you a blessed and beautiful book launch and holiday season! 💞

    1. Good Morning. Bette,
Thank you. I am just getting started so I need all the good wishes I can get.
Have a blessed Christmas season, Bette. Over here, we celebrate every Advent Sunday that comes before Christmas. It is really a special time of the year with the Advent wreaths with candles. We will light the second candle on the wreath Sunday. People then sit and talk, or watch a film on television or whatever they enjoy doing and we eat special cakes and have coffee and tea. I love the Advent season and look forward to sitting and sharing with friends and then reading a book.
      Wishing you a great day.
      Shalom aleichem

  6. Gwen M. Plano – United States – Over the expanse of many years, I taught and served as an administrator in colleges in Japan, New York, Connecticut, and California. Between travels with my husband and visits with family and friends, I write poetry and novels. I'm currently working on my fifth book. Though writing is an accomplishment of no small measure for me, my greatest treasure and most profound source of joy has been and is my four adult children. It is they who have guided me through life’s mysteries.
    Gwen M. Plano says:

Congratulations, dear Pat. I’ve just purchased my copy and look forward to reading it. Bravo! 😊

    1. Good Morning My Friend,
Thank you. I appreciate that very much. I know you can imagine the stress I was under to get my second book baby in order. It’s something that I don’t want to have to repeat. 🙂
Let me say here that I truly enjoyed LETTING GO INTO PERFECT LOVE. Maybe, enjoy is not the right word but it is the bes word I could find at the time that could express my gamut of feelings for what takes place on those pages. You did an excellent job.
      Have a blessed Second Advent.
      Shalom aleichem

  7. Rhonda Gilmour writing romance as Sadira Stone – Washington State, USA – I write steamy contemporary romance set in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
    Sadira Stone says:

Best of luck with your new release!

    1. Good Morning Sadira,
Thank you so much. As you know the Advent Season is in full bloom here. It is taken seriously here and I love being a part of it.
Wishing you all the best and have a blessed Second Advent.

  8. Yippee! Let His Banner Over Me Be Love is now on my Kindle, ready to read. 😀

    1. Good Morning Marian,
Thank you so much. Even though it is probably different from the books you usually read, I hope you enjoy it. It flows within my perspective to point out differences do not mean I have to close the door to those that are different than me.
      Have a blessed Second Advent.
      Shalom aleichem

  9. Author Jan Sikes – Texas – I am an award-winning author. I love creative writing and I love music. I've published four books that are true stories written in fiction format. They are entertaining like fiction, but everything did actually happen. I've also published a book of poetry and art, nine fiction short stories, and a paranormal romance series (The White Rune Series). I enjoy promoting other authors and Texas music artists!
    Jan Sikes says:

Kudos to you,, Pat, for taking the initiative to fix a problem. That speaks of the kind of dedicated writer you are. Congrats!

    1. Good Morning Jan,
Thank you so much. Although it took me lots of time to bring it to the level I wanted to have, I am very happy that I took the time. Now, I’m exhausted.
Have a blessed Second Advent and take care.
      Shalom aleichem

  10. Bold cover, Pat. I love it! I do agree that content and cover must be compatible.

Alas, I tried to purchase your new book online but did not see it on Amazon. Also, the link here on your post does not appear to be live. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought you would like to know.

Brava for completing this new edition! 😀

    1. Thank you, Marian. I will check with Amazon again. They told me it went live yesterday. I will get back to you after I check once more.
And you don’t have to be sorry. I am glad that you said something. That is the only way I can fix what is wrong.
      Shalom aleichem

    2. Hello Marian,
It’s me again. The link has been fixed. I wanted to run both the link from Amazon.com and the one from Amazon.de but it will only let me run one of them. So, I have chosen to run the Amazon.com link and left the German link alone. I will run it in an additional post if needed for my German readers.

Thanks once again, and thanks for the praise about the cover. I love it.

      Shalom aleichem

  11. Sometimes a new perspective helps us see things in a different light. Wish you all the best Pat. No Ebook for Indian readers?

    1. Good Morning Sonia,
Thank you so much. You are so right. I believe a new perspective is always needed when we are publishing something that will go out all over the world. That’s why editors are so important. LET HIS BANNER OVER ME BE LOVE is also on Amazon for Indian readers. I didn’t leave any country out. Especially countries like India, Japan, and most all of the countries in Southern or Eastern parts of the world speak English, and I wanted the book to be available for them .
Take care and have a blessed holiday season.
      Shalom aleichem
