2020 RAVE AWARDS WINNERS!

Pat Garcia

Went into my office yesterday morning, turned on my computer, and received a sweet surprise that I didn’t expect.  My colleagues at the Rave Review Book Club (RRBC) had chosen me as Second Place Winner for the MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD. It took me a day to let it soak in.

Thank you, RRBC. All of you are great people to be around. It gives me great satisfaction to be recognized as an author among you.

Shalom aleichem,

Pat Garcia

  1. D. Wallace Peach – 30 Miles beyond the edge of civilization, Oregon – I'm an adventurer in writing, peering under rocks in my garden for secret magic. I can't stop writing. My stories want to explode from my head. They demand my attention and surge from my fingertips faster than I can put them to paper. I love what I do.

Congrats, Pat! Thanks quite an honor. I’m no longer a member of RRBC, but they’re a great bunch of authors. 🙂

    1. Hi Diana,
Yes, they are a great bunch of people. I’m releasing my first short story over the 4WillsPublishing in February. I didn’t know how much work comes with the release, and I am thankful that 4WillsPub/RRBC is standing beside me.
      Take care.

  2. markbierman – Born and raised on a farm near Brockville, Ontario, Mark Bierman's childhood consisted of chores, riding horses, snowmobile races across open fields, fishing trips to a local lake, and many other outdoor adventures. He was also an avid reader of both fiction and non. Transitioning towards adulthood also meant moving from the farm and into large urban areas that introduced this country boy to life in the big cities. After a short stint as a private investigator, he moved into the role of Correctional Officer, working at both Millhaven Institution and Kingston Penitentiary, until it closed.

  3. Bette A. Stevens – Central Maine, USA – "I'm a writer inspired by nature and human nature!" ~ Bette A. Stevens Bette A. 4. Gwen M. Plano – United States – Over the expanse of many years, I taught and served as an administrator in colleges in Japan, New York, Connecticut, and California. Between travels with my husband and visits with family and friends, I write poetry and novels. I'm currently working on my fifth book. Though writing is an accomplishment of no small measure for me, my greatest treasure and most profound source of joy has been and is my four adult children. It is they who have guided me through life’s mysteries.
    Gwen M. Plano says:

What wonderful news, Pat. So deserved! ✨🎉✨

    1. Thank you so much, Gwen. It really was a surprise because I didn’t expect it. I am happy and pleased about it.
      Have a lovely weekend.
      Shalom aleichem

  5. Carol Schoenig – love to read romance stories. As I have aged and continued to read romance stories, I noticed that the characters don’t necessarily age. Talking with my friends and hearing them say they would like to read stories of people similar in age to them. But, what drew me to want to write Boomer Lit was the stories I heard from real people. People in their 60’s, 70’s and up getting married for the second or third time. In some cases might even be the first time. Love changes and the season of love in your twenties, thirties, etc. is different than love in your sixties or older. These are people who have lived life with all of its ups and downs and turns in the road. They’ve been through disappointment in love, unrequited love, loveless marriages and yet they still hope for that connection that soul mate who will love them as they are and know them like no one else. These same people still experience problems with falling in love. Children are not approving, financial risks and concerns about where to live or how to divide up property when they expire. I welcome you to tell me your story of how you met and fell in love whatever age you are. Thank you for visiting my site.  I look forward to getting to know you better. Carol
    Carol Schoenig says:

    Congratulations, Pat!

    1. Thank you so much, Carol. It was such a big surprise. It made me smile.
      Have a wonderful weekend.

Congratulations to you also and have a wonderful day.
      Shalom aleichem
