Truly, I AM THANKFUL, JANUARY 5,2024,  @pat_garcia, #amwriting, #RRBC, @RRBC_ORG,  #RRBC_RWISA, #writingcommunity, #writingjourney, @tweets4RWISA

I woke up on this side of life this morning, still walking out my story. This side of life makes me aware that I’m still breathing. Looking out the window built into my roof, I saw rain.

After getting cleaned up and dressed, I gazed out the window again; I saw sunshine. The weather had changed quickly in three-quarters of an hour, and I could perceive this change. I lifted my head toward Heaven and said Thank you!

I was in my right mind. I could think; I wasn’t walking around with a wild look in my eyes. I knew where I was and what I was doing, and I could comprehend and contemplate.

My awareness of my surroundings made me look out of my glassed-in patio doors as I read my Bible, and I smiled and thanked God for His faithfulness to me, one of the sheep of His pasture.

Oh, the joy it brings my heart to say I am in my RIGHT MIND. Yes, and for that, I am truly thankful.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Thank you Pat for your heartfelt words. Your writing touches me all times.
What a privilege, to be in my right mind.
I did a Line Dance experience in November 2023. It was hard to order my steps.
Yesterday I was there again and so many steps overwhelmed me.
It’s not always easy to take steps.
I’m so greateful and really thankful to my God for walking life steps with me. Physical steps and spiritual steps.
    Be blessed Pat

  3. Gwen M. Plano – United States – Over the expanse of many years, I taught and served as an administrator in colleges in Japan, New York, Connecticut, and California. Between travels with my husband and visits with family and friends, I write poetry and novels. I'm currently working on my fifth book. Though writing is an accomplishment of no small measure for me, my greatest treasure and most profound source of joy has been and is my four adult children. It is they who have guided me through life’s mysteries.
    Gwen M. Plano says:

What a wonderful way to begin the New Year, Pat, in your right mind. May the year be one of blessings.

  4. Love this, Pat: “I was in my right mind.”
This morning I thanked God for heat in the house and hot water in the tap. Many people in our world don’t have the basics, what I often take for granted. In the grocery store this morning, I met a friend whose husband has multiple illnesses and now Alzheimer’s. She wants to keep him at home but finds it harder and harder to manage his care.
So far, I’M IN MY RIGHT MIND. HA!

Thanks for the encouragement. Have a blessed 2024! ((( )))
