DAY 18, JANUARY 19, 2023, A DAY IN MY LIFE…SNIPPETS OF ME By Pat Garcia @RRBC_Org @pat_garcia @RRBC_RWISA @Tweets4RWISA #RWISA #RRBC #RRBC_Community #ADayinMyLife

DAY 18, JANUARY 19, 2023

This morning, I woke up to rain mixed with snow. However, it stopped. As I came off my first break, I looked out the window in my office; the sun was peeking through, and tiny snowflakes were coming down from the sky. I hope it doesn’t stay.

I have been catching up on my comments. I don’t like being behind, but my accounting for the writing group I belong to had to be done. I have about three or four more blogs to comment on, so if you have yet to see a comment from me, you will. I have been taking each person and commenting on their outstanding blog posts before I move on to comment on another writer’s blog.

After my zoom board meeting, I will do my best to finish the others.

So far, I have enjoyed reading all of the posts. Whenever I go to a new blog, I am reminded of how different we are.

Thanks to all of you who have visited my blog posts so far. I appreciate it greatly.

In closing, my Knitting Group at the Post Office was joyful. My ladies were very comical yesterday. I’ve not laughed so hard in a long time.

My list for this week is below.

  1. I’m revising the first 10K of my new novel. It usually takes me at least four to six days to fix 10K. I like to send her what I call my final draft so that she understands the direction I’m moving in.
  2. I have a letter to write. I had decided to wait until after the Challenge, but my gut is telling me to do it now, which is what I will do.
  3. Answering emails and text messages, Daily
  4. Attend my writing classes and do my homework,
  5. Catch up on blog comments,
  6. Send one of my stories to the person who will do the critique I won for winning the WEP.
  7. RWF Board Meeting via Zoom

Have a lovely Thursday.

Shalom aleichem

  1. Shirley Harris-Slaughter – I love old buildings and history. That's why I ended up writing about the history that surrounded me all of my life - "Our Lady of Victory, the Saga of an African-American Catholic Community." Plus our church had closed and the school is torn down, so I felt it was imperative that we preserve the history or it would be lost forever.
    Shirley Harris-Slaughter says:

I didn’t get by here until today. Just trying to catch up with you Pat and stay in this blogging game. Lol!

  2. Susanne Leist – United States – Welcome, reader. I’m the author behind two paranormal suspense series designed to keep you on the edge of your seat and maybe even tug at your heart. In The Dead Game Series, The Dead walk in the night and into the day, leading our heroines on a dangerous journey from the sunny shores of Florida to the icy reaches of Quebec. My latest project, The Blue Harbor Series, introduces a new pair of heroines determined to save their coastal town from an ancient Indian curse. In Book One: Meet Me In Maine, they confront the curse’s dark origin and the painful legacy of the Penobscot Nation, unjustly uprooted by colonization. So please sit back, put your feet up, and let me bring a little mystery and romance into your world. As a special treat, I invite you to read My Last Year, a heartfelt story written from the perspective of my beloved Maltese, Nounous, my muse, my shadow, and my best friend.
    Susanne Leist says:

You have a busy life. I have to blog about my past or think of topics to entertain everyone. Since I’ve become an author, one of my new tasks is being an entertainer.

  3. Pat, wow! I’m amazed by your hectic schedule. Since I retired, my days are filled with this and that, but I have no schedule for anything. Keep up your pace as long as you can. At a certain age, it gets a bit more challenging.

  4. Patty Perrin – Florida – Author of Teen/YA SciFi Adventure and Inspirational Non-Fiction, I'm an avid reader, happily married to the love of my life, a mom and gramma and a light and salty follower of Jesus Christ. I grew up an Army Brat in Europe, had no television, and subsequently read books for entertainment in-between adventures that my parents never knew about. My TETRASPHERE series is one I would have loved reading as a teen, which is why I wrote it. I still enjoy the Teen/YA genre, along with SciFi, Fantasy, Time-Travel, some Romance, Mystery, and a few non-fiction categories. If it has print, I will read it. If I can squeeze it into my Kindle, I will read it. You can find out more at www.ptlperrin.org.
    Patty Perrin says:

Hi, Pat! Thanks for reading and commenting on my posts, too. I enjoy your snippets and getting to know you. So glad you had fun with the knitting ladies! I also have some critical accounting to do, and so a few posts may be shorter than most and I may have to catch up on some comments after I’m done with the numbers. You set a good example.

    Blessings!
    Patty

  5. maurabeth2014 – Writer of fiction with a touch of suspense and romance. Avid reader, walker, old movie watcher, caffeine drinker, candy muncher (yeah, I said it). #RRBC_RWISA
    Maura Beth Brennan says:

Pat, your site is telling me my comment is out for approval, but I don’t remember making one on this post, so, here I go – I’m trying to read all the blogs too, and it’s hard to keep up! I love that you keep us up-to-date on your activities, and enjoy hearing about your knitting ladies.

  6. Susan Rouchard – France – Writer short stories and poetry. Published The Rodeo, Scribble 2012. My Father in my Bones, Paragram Anthology 2014. Foothold and The Piano, Orbis Summer 2015; Trapped by the Undertow, Banditfiction.com ReadMore Poetry, May 2021; Carthage, ORBIS, June 2021; I am married with three grown children.

Thank you Pat for your daily descriptions. Step by step, no pressure. Warmth and rest, I send to you through the cables, under the big pond.

    1. Good Morning, Susan,
Thank you! It is nice to know that you are reading them. I hope you are fine.
Take care and have a very lovely Friday.
      Shalom aleichem

  7. Like you, I keep to-do items on the list until I get them done. It may take a while, but that way I keep myself accountable while cutting myself some slack. The world won’t stop turning if I don’t do everything I’d plan to do.

    Brava, Pat! 😀

    1. Hi Marian,
Amen! That is wisdom that I had to learn.
      Shalom aleichem 🤗

  8. Stories by Karen – USA – Black began writing in 2010, combining imagination and experience to weave dramatic plots with believable characters in descriptive contemporary settings. She writes in a variety of genres, her character-driven storylines filled with adventure and drama in real-life situations. A four-legged character appears in most of her publications, a testament to her passion for animals. The author of novels, novelettes, and short stories, her books have received awards from Readers’ Favorite, Page Turner Awards, Literary Titan, International Impact, and KCT International Literary, along with accolades from Kirkus Reviews. Black lives in the United States with her husband, and two alien creatures disguised as cats. One of them, her muse, is rumored to be ET’s second cousin. The rumor, however, has not been confirmed.
    Karen Black says:

I love to watch snowflakes. Happy Thursday, Pat!
